The project chat has three phases. They are not buttons you switch. Citeaxis moves you through them.

#Discovery

Your first message starts the discovery. Before asking anything, Citeaxis reads every link in the brief (text, desktop and phone screenshots, measured fonts, sizes and colours) and researches the products people already use for this kind of work. Then the discovery agent writes the questions for your project: each one says why it matters and offers options in the nouns of your brief. It titles the project. It does not price in this phase.

There is no fixed list and no minimum: what the brief or a reference already settles is not asked. See How the discovery works.

When nothing left would change the project, a summary card lands: objective, users, flows, screens, integrations, infrastructure, security, acceptance, assumptions. Confirm it, or ask for a change and the discovery re-opens with your request.

#Gate: the Quote Manager

Confirming the summary starts two jobs: the complete first version of the Blueprint and the pricing gate. A decision core plus three writers produce the proposal JSON: Core, Recommended, Complete, hours, team, and the 12-month ROI.

This is the same pipeline the Quote Manager skill describes. Nothing in this step is a guess in the chat UI. It is a queued job you can watch in Activity.

The first version starts in parallel. You do not wait for the price to see the screens.

#FOLLOWUP

After PROPOSAL DELIVERED, the chat answers questions about the numbers. If the scope or the price has to move, the gate re-opens.
